A meeting of the Oswego Town Board was held November 9, 2000 at the Southwest Community Center at 7:00 PM. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Tyrie who opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was taken with the following members present:

Resolution 2000-203 Motion by Councilor Pratt and seconded by Councilor Mahaney to open the public hearing for the 2001 budget at 7:05 PM. All ayes motion carried.

The town clerk read the official public notice for the preliminary budget for 2001

Town residents who spoke against the budget were Mark AuClair, Samantha Ditzler, Greg Hermann, Doug Malone, Lisa Stevens and Olin Pritchard. No public comment in favor of the budget.

Resolution 2000-204 Motion by Councilor Mullen and seconded by Councilor Tierney to close the public hearing for the 2001 budget at 8:35 PM. All ayes motion carried.

Motion by Councilor Mullen and seconded by Councilor Tierney to adjourn the budget hearing at 8:40 PM. 2 ayes, 2 nays, 1 abstain.

Resolution 2000-205 Motion by Councilor Tierney and seconded by Councilor Mullen to amend line item A1220.11 to $23,089.68. 4 ayes, 1 nay.

Resolution 2000-206 Motion by Councilor Pratt and seconded by Councilor Mullen to adjust all line items for water and sewer personal services to reflect a 1% wage increase. All ayes motion carried.

Motion by Supervisor Tyrie to reduce line item DA5110.4 from $200,000.00 to 190,000.00. No second, motion failed.

Resolution 2000-207 Motion by Supervisor Tyrie and seconded by Councilor Mahaney to correct employee line item A9030.8 (social security) to $20,595.11. All ayes motion carried.

Resolution 2000-208 Motion by Councilor Mahaney and seconded by Councilor Tyrie to accept the 2001 preliminary budget as amended. 4 ayes, 1 nay.
