Town
Clerk's Report: July monthly money to the supervisor
was $1664.86, total $2032.25. Last week I attended classes at
Cornell University for Certified Municipal Clerks, which was
a great learning experience, this is a three-year course. I
am looking into the possibility of selling passports for the
town. The Board of Elections sent a letter regarding voting
on campus. The student association president has until August
20 to respond. A board needs to be placed at the Alliance Church
for easy access into the voting room, this was suggested by
the Board of Elections and suggested that the town take care
of this matter.
The town historical society will meet on Tuesday, August 10
at 6:00 PM to discuss their upcoming yard sale and take a tour
of two local cemeteries at 6:30 PM. Our building inspector will
not be available this Friday or Monday.
Supervisor's Report: Deputy Supervisor Tim DeSacia
reported we had many complaints on dogs and the building inspectors.
Public Comment: Highway Superintendent reported the
town will be all set with the county for salt and sand for this
winter, he will place an order before August 31st before the
rates go up. The fire station is coming along nicely and maybe
ready for October 1, 2004.
