The
meeting of the Oswego Town Board was held on July 11, 2005 at
the Oswego Town Hall. Supervisor Mullen opened the meeting at
7:00 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence
for Brad Livesey, ZBA member and Alma Malone, mother of Legislator
Doug Malone who both recently passed away. Roll call was taken
with the following members present:

Town
Clerk's Report: Money for the month of June paid to
the supervisor was $1972.99, total for month $2566.40.
Public Comment: Mr. Gary Ellingworth addressed
the board about a water main problem he has at his property
on Crestwood Dr.
Supervisors Report: The progress on the new
building is right on schedule.
I have been working on an agreement with OCWA for a 6 inch service
to the new building for our sprinkler system.
The town has ordered the Truss sign that needs to be posted
for our new construction to alert emergency people that the
building has trusses.
Mr. Hogan and I are in the budgeting process. Dept heads will
be receiving notice this month.
Resolution 2005-72 Be it resolved that the
Oswego Town Board approves the minutes from the June 13, 2005
town board meeting.
Moved by Councilor Mahaney, seconded by Councilor Pritchard.
All ayes motion carried.
Resolution 2005-73 Be it resolved that the
Oswego Town Board approves the bills on abstract 7.

motion carried.
Resolution 2005-74 Be it resolved that the
Oswego Town Board appoints Greg Auleta as Zoning Board Chairman,
term to expire December 31, 2005.
Moved by Councilor Mahaney, seconded by Supervisor Mullen. All
ayes motion carried.
Resolution 2005-75 Be it resolved that the
Oswego Town Board appoints Debra Shoenfelt-Jaskula to the Zoning
Board of Appeals term to expire 12-2008.
Moved by Councilor Pritchard, seconded by Supervisor Mullen.
All ayes motion carried.
Resolution 2005-76 Be it resolved that the
Oswego Town Board declares the following inventory of a 1991
John Deere XL188 lawn mower and file cabinets as town surplus
and will be sold.
Moved by Supervisor Mullen, seconded by Councilor DeSacia. All
ayes motion carried.
Resolution 2005-77 Be it resolved that the
Oswego Town Board approves the following resolution.
WHEREAS, premises owned by John and Maria Demidowicz,
known as 304 Washington Boulevard, Town of Oswego, NY, and identified
as tax parcel 127.15-01-07.000, is partially located within
the boundaries of the Ontario Heights Sewer District; and
WHEREAS, the improvement on said premises has
been serviced by a sewer line connected to the sewer system
of the City of Oswego, NY since on or about 1926; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said premises have paid
the City of Oswego on a regular basis for said sewer service
and had done so prior to the establishment of the Ontario Heights
Sewer District; and
WHEREAS, to date, said premises’ owners
have paid $5000.00 to the Ontario Heights Sewer District in
contribution toward the capital costs of said project and interest
on the bonds providing funding therefore; and
WHEREAS, it appears to and it is hereby determined
by this board that the said premises known as 304 Washington
Boulevard, Town of Oswego, NY, derived no benefit from being
included within the Ontario Heights Sewer District; and
NOW, THEREFORE, be it
RESOLVED, that the sum of money heretofore
paid to the Ontario Heights Sewer District by the owners of
premises known as 304 Washington Boulevard, Town of Oswego,
NY, and the same hereby is accepted as full payment for all
ad valorum charges imposed against such property for such sewer
district; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in the event that
said premises are sold or otherwise transferred to a third party
or parties, the payment heretofore made shall then be further
reviewed for sufficiency and the practicality of connecting
said premises to the sewer system of the Ontario Heights Sewer
District shall also then be reviewed.
Moved by Supervisor Mullen, seconded by Councilor Herrmann.
All ayes motion carried.
Motion by Councilor Mahaney and seconded by Councilor Pritchard
to close the regular meeting of the Oswego Town Board at 7:20
PM. All ayes motion carried.
