The
meeting of the Oswego Town Board was held on July 10, 2006 at
the town hall. Supervisor Mullen opened the meeting at 7:00
PM with the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was taken with the
following members present:

Town
Clerk’s Report: The June feels paid to the supervisor
were $1423.49, total for the month $1813.90. There is a balance
of $1.24 interest in the tax money market account.
A correction to the minutes Resolution 2006- 65 shall read as
follows; Budget modification from A599 contingent account to
HA capital project in the amount of $565.81.
Supervisor’s Report: There will be a
special town board meeting on July 24, 2006 at 7 PM at town
hall. Congratulations go out to Town Clerk Theresa Cooper for
receiving the
Citizen of the Year award from the Oswego Elk’s Lodge
and to Councilor DeSacia for participating in a bicycle run
for MD.
Public Comment: Residents commented that the
Rural Cemetery looks great and the crew did a great job of cleaning
up the Stevens Cemetery.
Resolution 2006-71 Be it resolved the Oswego
Town Board approves the minutes from the June 12, 2006 town
board meeting.
Moved by Councilor Pritchard, second Councilor Mahaney. All
ayes motion carried.
Resolution 2006-72 Be it resolved the Oswego
Town Board adds an item to the agenda.
Moved by Councilor Pritchard, second Councilor Mahaney. All
ayes motion carried.
Resolution 2006-73 Be it resolved the Oswego
Town Board approves the following budget modification fro DA
5110.4 (general repairs) to DA5130.2 (machinery) in the amount
of $8942.57.
Moved by Supervisor Mullen, second Councilor DeSacia. All ayes
motion carried.
Resolution 2006-74 Be it resolved the Oswego
Town Board approves the bills on abstract #7.

Resolution 2006-75 Be it resolved the Oswego
Town Board holds a public hearing on August 14, 2006 at 7:05
PM to submit a 239 L& M for review with text and map to
the Oswego County Planning.
Moved by Supervisor Mullen, second Councilor Herrmann. All ayes
motion carried.
Resolution 2006-76 Be it resolved the Oswego
Town Board acknowledges Town Clerk Theresa Cooper’s CMC
conference in Ithaca, NY from July 23 to July 27, 2006.
Moved by Councilor Mahaney, second Councilor Pritchard. All
ayes motion carried.
Resolution 2006-77 Be it resolved the Oswego
Town Board acknowledges Justice Jung and Clerk to attend the
NYS Unified Court System Town & Village Justices/Court Clerk
2006 continuing judicial education program at SUNY Potsdam from
July 24 through July 25, 2006. Expenses will include two nights
lodging, meals and mileage for a total of approximately $350.00.

ayes motion carried.
Resolution 2006-78 Be it resolved the Oswego
Town Board approves the rate schedule for the Rural Cemetery.

Moved by Councilor Herrmann, second Councilor DeSacia. All ayes
motion carried.
Resolution 2006-79 Be it resolved the Oswego
Town Board appoints James Soucy as a cemetery laborer for the
2006 season at minimum wage.
Moved by Supervisor Mullen, second Councilor DeSacia. All ayes
motion carried.
Resolution 2006-80 Be it resolved the Oswego
Town Board declares July 16 through July 22, 2006 Rudy’s
on the Lake Week. See attachment B.
Moved by Supervisor Mullen, second Councilor Pritchard. All
ayes motion carried.
Motion by Councilor Mahaney, second by Councilor Pritchard to
close the meeting at 7:25 PM. All ayes motion carried.

Attachment B: Rudy’s Week
Whereas, pursuant to Laws of the State of New
York, the Town Board of the Town of Oswego, NY, is duly authorized
and empowered to make provision for special places and buildings
within its boundaries, and
Whereas, Rudy’s on the Lake Drive-In,
located at 78 County Route 89 in the Town of Oswego, NY, is
about to celebrate its Sixtieth Year of providing “great
food, unique service, famous Texas Hot Sauce, a beautiful setting
and much more” to the residents of the Town of Oswego
and the public at large; and
Whereas, it is the desire of the Town Board
of the Town of Oswego, NY, to recognize Rudy’s on the
Lake Drive-In on its auspicious anniversary;
Now, Therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the week of July 16 through
July 22, 2006, be and the same hereby is designated as RUDY’S
ON THE LAKE WEEK throughout the Town of Oswego, NY,
in recognition of this institution’s contribution to the
betterment and to the enjoyment of our citizens for Sixty Years!
