The
meeting of the Oswego Town Board was held on September 11, 2006
at the town hall. Supervisor Mullen opened the meeting at 7:00
PM with the Pledge of Allegiance.
A moment of silence was held for the 911 victims and the passing
of former town board member and cemetery superintendent Richard
Pratt. Roll call was taken with the following present:

Town
Clerk Report: The August fees paid to the supervisor
were $1315.19, total for the month $7418.30. Sales are up due
to hunting licenses. The Historical Society will meet this Thursday
at 6:00 PM at town hall. I will be returning from a district
directors meeting on Monday September 18.
Supervisor’s Report: We have begun the
budget process and had a meeting with the highway superintendent.
Public Comment: Stephen Lewandowski from the
Center for Environment Information Inc. addressed the board
regarding water testing of the lake. A town resident asked about
the town dog law and where did it state how long a dog could
bark before it was considered a nuisance.
Resolution 2006-92 Be it resolved the Oswego
Town Board approves the minutes from the August 14, 2006 town
board meeting.
Moved by Councilor Pritchard, second Councilor Mahaney. All
ayes motion carried.
Resolution 2006-93 Be it resolved the Oswego
Town Board approves the following budget modifications: From
a1220.11 (administrative assistant) to A1220.4 (supervisor contractual
for $19.24; from DA5110.4 (general repairs) to DA 5130.2 (equipment)
for $3014.03. Moved by Supervisor Mullen, second Councilor DeSacia.
All ayes motion carried.
Resolution 2006-94 Be it resolved the Oswego
Town Board approves the bills on Abstract 9.

Resolution 2006-95 Be it resolved the Oswego
Town Board directs the supervisor to contract with William Dodd
tree trimmers to trim the dangerous branches and trees in the
Rural Cemetery, price not to exceed $5000.00.
Moved by Councilor DeSacia, second Councilor Herrmann. All ayes
motion carried.
Resolution 2006-96 Be it resolved the Oswego
Town Board accepts with regret the resignation of Kenneth Kern
from the Town Planning Board, and thanks him for his years of
service to the Town of Oswego.
Moved by Supervisor Mullen, second Councilor Mahaney. All ayes
motion carried.
Resolution 2006-97 Be it resolved the Oswego
Town Board directs the supervisor to advertise for a planning
board member.
Moved by Councilor Mahaney, second Councilor Pritchard. All
ayes motion carried.
Resolution 2006-98 Be it resolved the town
board move into executive session at 7:25 PM to discuss attorney
client communications.
Moved by Councilor Herrmann, second Councilor DeSacia. All ayes
motion carried.
Resolution 2006-99 Be it resolved the Oswego
Town Board resume the regular meeting at 7:35 PM.
Moved by Councilor Herrmann, second Councilor DeSacia. All ayes
motion carried.
Motion by Councilor Mahaney, second Councilor Pritchard to close
the regular meeting at 7:36 PM. All ayes motion carried.
